As winter is finally upon us it's about time to get out and about and get some good wholesome, comfort food - so it's the perfect excuse to join CitySocialising's Great Manchester World Food Tour! Its also the perfect time to really begin to explore the culinary delights that our great city has to offer and take part in more CitySocialising nights out.
The idea for The Great Manchester World Food Tour is to take full advantage of our city's great ethnic mix and head out to a number of the top restaurants and partake in the food they serve from all over the globe, visiting Japanese, French, Spanish, Brazilian, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Mongolian, Lebanese and as many other outposts of this planet that we can find to let our tastebuds explore!
It may be foods you know, it may be foods that you have been wanting to try and have never had the opportunity, the only requirement is a passion for food, an inquisitive nature and a huge desire to have a great time!
Our next stop on the World Food Tour is Manchester's most enticing and exciting Korean restaurant: Koreana!
Situated off Manchester's Deansgate district, Koreana is a real treat for your taste buds!
Food is a very important part of Korean culture, for example, if a guest arrives at ones house it is considered polite and custom to ask if the person has yet eaten. If the guest indicates that he/she has not, then the host should provide a meal as quickly as possible.
Meal times are a great social occasion and so food is ordered and often shared between the diners. With this in mind, Koreana offers a number of different dining options such as - a la carte, set menus, banquets and buffets - everyone is covered on the night with exactly how they want to eat!
On top of this, everything is freshly prepared in-house for us and is all made from the finest fresh ingredients.
Koreana offers us the chance to tuck into their famous 15 course set menu (£15 per head) - featuring King Prawns, Korean Hot Pot, Oriental Vegetables and Savoury Pancakes or maybe you fancy going off road and selecting from the a la carte menu, with squid, steak, mussels and a number of Korean delicacies to choose from (£4.50-£7.50) and a great delection of Korean soups and sweets to savour before and after!
And with a great selection of Korean beers, wine and other refreshments its set to be a fun evening out!
We'll all be meeting up beforehand for a pre-dinner drink or two at nearby bar XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) where one of our hosts will be at a reserved table when you arrive to welcome you and settle you in to the evening.
We'll have an hour or so here to chat, relax and socialise together over a drink or two before heading over to Koreana for dinner at 8pm.
And afterwards we'll be able to head to one of the many nearby bars to continue our Friday night with more drinks and great Friday CitySocialising!

We have hired out the private downstairs bar of Revolution Deansgate - a huge room with luxurious furniture, stunning decor and of course our own bar, offering hundreds of types of premium imported flavoured Vodkas, a vast selection of imported beers and wines and an amazing selection of fun and funky cocktails featuring their fantastic Raspberry Mojito!
And thats just for starters - The Big CitySocialising Winter Party will have all the usual fun of a normal CS Party, but from 10pm we will have our own Revolution DJ - playing a great mix of modern and classic hits for you to get down to and you will also get free entry in to Revolutions club later on, to dance away into the early hours!
It's set to be a great night and a fantastic way to celebrate the Winter Party Season with new friends so we really hope you can make it.

If you're up for some mid week food, drinks and laid back CitySocialising, come and join us for a huge mediterranean buffet at Efes, Manchester's fantastic Mediterranean restaurant, frequented by locals, visitors and fans of the finest sun-kissed food around!
Situated in the heart of Manchester, Efes is a laid back and homely venue with an authentic Taverna feel, which prides itself on the quality and range of its food, all freshly prepared.
The a la carte menu features a wonderful selection of hot and cold meze, featuring olives, flatbreads, seafood and traditional med meats, while the main courses feature kebabs, meat balls, platter selections and steaks (£3.50 - £13.50). But there is also the famous Efes Buffet which is all you can eat, and offers most of the selections on the menu at great value at just £8.95 per head, so its an evening that won't break the bank!

If you fancy a night of laughs, join our CitySocialising crowd as we head to the Frog & Bucket, Manchester's original comedy club, for an evening of being entertained by the best in comedic talent.
Priding themselves on developing some of the best comic talents on the circuit, their amateur comedian Beat the Frog night regulars have included Dave Gorman, Peter Kay, Caroline Aherne and Johnny Vegas to name just a few.
Tonight's Big Value Thursday night however will see us being entertained by four comics from the national and international circuit, one of The Frog & Buckets fabulous comperes, and a disco with DJ Sam the Man 'till 1am if we want to stay on afterwards and shake our thang!
We'll all be meeting up first at nearby bar XXXXX (full details available to view upon booking) for a pre-show drink or two and a chance to grab a bite to eat (optional).
One of our hosts will be at a reserved table there when you arrive to welcome and settle you in to the evening and we'll have an hour to chat, relax and socialise together before heading over to the Frog & Bucket when the doors open at 7.30pm.

If you're into your live music and up for meeting others into the same, come and check out some live bands and artists with a new CitySocialising crowd at Hard Rock Cafe (the only one outside of London in the UK) - the worlds most iconic Rock venue!
Known as being the best venue in Manchester for checking out up and coming live bands, The Hard Rock Cafe has great rock and roll coming out of its ears.
Many bands have started their careers with an amazing set at Hard Rock' and they pride themselves on offering great exposure to upcoming local bands which have resulted in them featuring as the music to Manchester based TV's shows such as Shameless and on the resulting soundtracks.
With a friendly atmosphere, the inside is jam packed with priceless music merchandise from around the world including items used and worn by top stars such as: Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, Lenny Kravitz, Black Sabbath, The Who, Pearl Jam, Bon Jovi, Eric Clapton and John Lennon.
The focal point however has to be the outrageous and over the top outfit which Madonna wore on her very first "Material Girl" World Tour which pretty handily also called into Manchester on its way around the globe!
The venue is great and the bands fantastic but we haven't even mentioned the drinks yet! With a fabulous range of draught and bottled beers, imported rare spirits and a great cocktail menu featuring Heavy Metal Margaritas - this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some good music and Friday night CitySocialising.
